  1. Thank you for sharing this. This piece of history helps trace the demeaning rhetoric and laws that have devalued the health and reproductive rights of black women in the United States. I think of forced sterilization in health facilities and prisons in the 1980s and the experimentation of potentially dangerous forms of birth control like Norplant.
